Our Grandmother, Kathleen was renowned for her home-made and delicious food amongst her customers, family and friends at her restaurant in Skibbereen, West Cork.
In the mid-90s she noticed that a lot of her customers were requesting Gluten free alternatives. This led her to develop a range of Gluten free meal alternatives, starting with the most important meal of the day, breakfast.
Following many years of tireless research she found a small farmer who was willing to exclusively grow Oats in a field very remote to any other crops, allowing for a far greater reduction of cross contamination with Gluten based cereals.
As the next generation, we have taken that innovative work further and are now in partnership with the leading grower of Gluten Free Oats in Ireland. We are delighted to offer a delicious Gluten Free alternative to our customers.
